Can you believe there was a time when Chinatown wasn’t CHINATOWN? Like, the center of nightlife cool as it is now, thanks to an arts, entertainment and culinary renaissance that’s gone on over the past decade or so? Y’know, the place you take your mainland friends when they visit if you want to show them how we really get down here?

An Evening in Chinatown at the historic Club Hubba Hubba (the one with the neon sign out front) is an annual fundraiser that the Chinatown Improvement District wants to keep as Honolulu’s best-kept-secret, alive on everyone’s lips.
