Argentine tango experts to teach classes in Hilo
Bruce and Yoko Wee of Tango en las Rocas on Oahu will present a series of Argentine tango workshops Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, at the Hilo Elks Club.
The Wees teach dance at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and also study and assist under George Garcia, a well-known Argentine tango dancer and teacher in Hawaii. The couple’s teaching trip to Hilo is being coordinated by Kawika Osorio, a Hilo dance teacher affiliated with Tango en las Rocas.
